Alexia is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to practice in December 1998. Alexia was an associate with Pope, Shoemake, Selwyn, Kerr & Hendershot, P.C. where she provided medical group clients with advice and counsel regarding business and corporate transactions, healthcare and employment law issues.

In 2000, she departed private practice to enter the human resources consulting field. She served as a Senior Consultant and Director of Operations for Bashen Consulting. In addition to conducting workplace investigations, Alexia trained and supervised six investigators and conducted fair employment practice surveys.

Alexia established Alexia V. Gannon, P.C. in 2003 to focus solely on providing advice and counsel to employers regarding compliance and employment law needs. In March 2006, Alexia joined her practice with Roach & Rowland, L.L.P. which served employers in the niche area of workplace investigations and training. In January 2008, Alexia and Marjana formed RoachGannon LLP.

In addition to conducting workplace investigations and providing employers with advice on employment-related matters, Alexia routinely develops and conducts customized training. She delivers on-going Anti-Harassment and Basic Employment Laws training programs to clients and provides training in a multitude of fair employment practice areas including such topics as: Respectful Workplace (Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination); Effective Performance Management; Delivering Effective Coaching, Counseling & Discipline; Tools for Effective Communication; Unconscious/Implicit Bias in the Workplace; and Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations. Further, Alexia has developed and regularly conducts specialized “remedial measures” training for employers to address specific management performance issues and/or policy violations.

Alexia is a Member of the State Bar of Texas Labor & Employment Section, the Houston Bar Association, and the Association of Workplace Investigators.
